The Edinburgh International Science Festival is a fantastic 2-week event that celebrates the world of science and draws in hundreds of thousands of people from all backgrounds and ages who want to learn about anything science. ESRIC and IB3 have been thrilled to be involved again this year, especially with the launch of the Enlightenment Programme run by Heriot-Watt University as part of the UN International Year of Light.
Professor Rory Duncan (ESRIC/IB3) and Dr Paul Dalgarno (IB3) pulled together their expertise in Physics, Biology and Microscopy to present an inspiring talk into the recent revolution that has taken place in world of biological imaging. The talk required audience participation (as you can see from the glowsticks!) and was aimed at ages 14 and above. The turn out again was great and we look forward to next years festival!
This public lecture was seen again at the EICC Innovation Nation event as the closing lecture in the series about innovating science around Scotland.
