Three of our super-resolution microscopes are housed within the Institute for Biological Chemistry, Biophysics and Bioengineering at Heriot-Watt University, in the ESRIC facility managed by Dr Alison Dun. The systems are on the 3rd floor (room 3.17) of the William Perkin Building, which can be accessed via Gait Two off Boundary Road North (see site map).

Heriot-Watt Edinburgh campus (Edinburgh, EH14 4AS) is only about 6 miles from the city centre. It’s well served by frequent local bus services, is easy to access by car and only a 10 minute taxi ride from Edinburgh International Airport. For buses use Lothian buses numbers 25, 34 or 45 which cost £1.60 for a single and £4.00 for a day ticket. You can come via taxi which will cost approximately £25 from the city centre (Central Taxis +44 131 229 2468). There is parking available on site at Gait Two, please conatct Ali for more information and for a temporary permit when you arrive.
