Our workstations are in the William Perkin Building, room 3.17C and these can be booked via the ppms booking software or by just getting in touch with This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by email. All workstations have FIJI installed with the most popular plugins for localisation, FLIM/FRET and tracking as well as SIMcheck and ThunderSTORM. For 3D visualisation of your images as well as object identification and tracking we have Imaris, Bitplane and for more complex tracking and localisation MATLAB, Mathworks. Huygens is available for deconvolution of your data and we have fitting software and visualisation packages available to be able to display your results and analyse your statistics. Sympotime software is available for FLIM/FCS analysis.

Image Analysis at our Edinburgh University site:

The IGC has a full complement of image analysis computers with two offline workstations individually dedicated to data processing of our N-SIM and N-STORM data. Access can also be arranged for use of Imaris (with all additional modules). We also support open source image processing of super-resolution data and can support use of both SimCheck and Thunderstorm using Fiji. Laura Murphy, our bioimage analyst, can advise about post-processing and quantification of super-resolution analysis including scripting, batch processing and strategies for long term data storage of super-resolution data.
