Facility Access
ACCESS OVERVIEW
For all enquiries please contact Jessica Valli for Heriot Watt University based systems or Ann Wheeler for University of Edinburgh based systems.
ESRIC offers support throughout all stages of a project from the experimental design to image acquisition, data processing and analysis and finally data presentation. If you wish to start a new project with ESRIC then first contact an ESRIC manager to get things started. You can discuss your desired project and assess the amount of input that is required.
REGISTRATION
To become an ESRIC user you first need to access our online booking software and request an account. Please note that an institutional email address must be used for your registration.
TRAINING
All new users will require system-specific training carried out on samples provided by ESRIC. These sessions are free of charge and we generally recommend 2 hours per technique, but this can be adapted dependent upon user experience. This training will be with an ESRIC manager.
DOCUMENTATION
You will be required to read and acknowledge risk assessments for each system, as well as Regulation, Access and Fees documents which must be signed by yourself and your PI and returned as a PDF before your first session.
HERIOT-WATT UNIVERSITY ACCESS

Heriot Watt Edinburgh campus (Edinburgh, EH14 4AS) is only about 6 miles from the city centre. It is well served by frequent local bus services (25, 34 or 45), is easy to access by car with parking available, and is only a 10 minute taxi ride from Edinburgh International Airport. Please contact Jessica Valli for more information.
